Hi guys!

I bought my first VW on wednesday ('89 1600 Carb).

While cleaning it I noticed that the dashboard is quite loose.

I would like to know what size/type of screws are used + where I could get them from.

Irritating question I know...

Thanks in advance.

Personally unless the screws are missing I'd just retighten the ones there. Alternatively getting a set from the delaers are your best bet for getting the correct size etc, without too much hassle but at some cost.
I would like to apologize to anyone I have NOT offended.
Please be patient.
I will get to you shortly...

Most of mine are missing. Will probably just go into Lindsay Saker then.

I was wondering if any one knows some one who can help me get a complete technical break down on specific components in the MK1 Citi Golf.

Maybe some one who works @ VW and has access to technical schematics and exploded diagrams of the vehicle.

There are a number of specific modifications I want to do and I'd like the diagrams for reference points.

The Haines manual only offers so much information.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

I have a list some where.

Alot of the modifications I want to do are with arb things... like area's of the interior.

I used to drive a '92 Honda DOHC before this car and I could probably help a person out with any number of aspects with that car.

I am a complete newbie when it comes to Golf's so I am eager to understand how it's built and how it fits together - once I have a basic understanding, I should be able to come up with the final plans for her and start from there.
