Mk7 GTi fuel pump wiring issue

Post by Dayknight-VW »

Hi guys

I've got a 2014 Mk7 GTi. Bought the car as a non runner, sorted all the issues out but I have a problem with the intake fuel pump.

There is no +12v coming to the pump. Can anyone assist me with a wiring diagram or has any idea where does the 12v feed come from to the tank? Fuse is fine.

I've got a single positive from the battery supply 12v to the pump, car starts fine, if I connect it to the cable that's in the original car harness the 12v feed gets extremely hot (as if it's shorting to ground somewhere, it doesn't pop the fuse tho)

I heard there's a fuel pump control module or relay for these cars but I can't seem to find it, if I can get a full wiring diagram then i can fault find as to why that cable is shorting or where the 12v feed is breaking.

Thanks in advance
