not sure if somebody has tried this before, or if it is even do-able, but would the outer door handles from a golf 6/7 fit on a Jetta 6?

iff i'm not mistaken all the jettas from jetta 4 to jetta 6 gp has the outer door handles that gets used on the polos as well, so I was thinking if the golf 6 or 7 handles that has a bit more of a shaped to it be a straight replacement fit?
