Hi guys
I have searched for the above and did not find anything that can assist me.
I have Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P0100 - 004 - Supply Voltage error code that keeps coming up on the VCDS system for Mk5 Golf 2.0 tfsi
Initially I cleaned the sensor and I had a few to test with - same issue.
I tried checking voltage on the pins (3pin).
Ignition off
Yellow 12v
Brown 12v
Black 12v
Ignition on
Yellow 5v
Brown 12v
Black 12v
Engine started
Yellow 5v
Brown 13.7v
Black 13.7v
At first I did not get any 12v/13.7v power to the plug. I manually grounded Pin 3 (black) as it should have been receiving the ground voltage. I did not send the ground back down the black cable from the ECU incase it was going to backfeed.
I am not sure what else to do or check as the code persists. I really would not like to interfere with the ECU at this point and hoping there is an easy fix.
If anyone has had this issue, would you please share your approach to resolving the issue.
Thank you
