I have an 88 MKII CSL with a HM block with the below specs going by this site.
https://www.enginerebuilding.eu/volkswa ... 16-hm.html
Fuel Petrol
Bore 81 x 77,4
Number of cylinders 4
Compression ratio 9 : 1
Engine content CC 1595
HP 75
I browsed topics and found quite a few similar ones, but not the exact ones.
I really want want to be precise, so I am making my own topic
I would like to increase the displacement to 1800 while growing my savings for the eventual ABF upgrade.
As far as I can see, this is my shopping list.
1800 Crank
1800 Oil Pump
144mm Conrods
Bigger Carb Jets
Timing Adjustment
I'm not sure if I need to change anything with the pistons.
Will the compression ratio change dramatically despite the different rods?
If so, will different pistons fix this, or different rods?
Or have I miscalculated, and will the pistons blow through the head at TDC?
Am I missing anything else? Anything you guys would recommend?
1600 to 1800 MKII
