1.2 tdi polo MAF sensor wiring

Hi Guys
I need some assistance on a 4 pin maf wiring descriptions for a cfwa 1.2 tdi polo. The 4 pins are: Pin 1. Black/Yellow + 12V.
Pin 2. Green ? Is ecu connection T94/39
Pin 3. Violet wire ?
Pin 4. Black wire ? T94/18
Is Pin 2. Green the earth from ecu?
Is the Pin 3. Violet a signal earth and can it be earthed on chassis?
Is Pin 4. Black +5V from ecu.
I looked at the 3 pin maf on a 1.6 tdi, on it pin 1 is green ecu -12V earth, pin 2 black/Yellow +12V and pin 3 black +5V which changes as the rpm changes. Any one have these pinouts? My question then can I use the 4 pin instead of the 3 pin?

That motor has a continental ECU and injectors
If the AFM originally fitted is a 4pin connector it will want the exact same thing again.
Anything else will either not work at all or throw error codes.
This is a vital part of the fuel metering system, don't try taking chances.

Thanks for the info, I have decided to get software done on the polo to sort out the bugs I encountered.
The original AFM is also a continental ( siemens ) 5WK97023 3 pin.

What year model is your Bluemotion? if you in Pretoria perhaps swing by Unique motorsport. They sorted me out when my ex Bluemotion had hickups.

Hey my polo is a 2013.
I am in East London, have called a few software guys this side for help.
I would still like to know.what the 4 wire colors are for. what are the voltages and can a signal earth be connected with chassis earth.

Hi, just now I joined in this club. I am from Chennai, india. I have polo 1.5 TDI 2017 model, MAF sensor wire has been cut down by rats. It has three wires 1. Green with red, 2 gray with black and the 3rd one is black. I am looking for your assistance to fix this issue.

I couldn't find it's make. Part Number mentioned as 04L 906 461 B. Continental ECU and injectors.

Will you be able to send me a picture of the maf the connector and wires.
On all the info the you give show a 4 pin maf sensor on number 04L906461B.

I recieved your email.
Please first use the drawing for maf sensor G70 trace thewires back to the ecu pin connections and check if it is connected correct.
Pin1 is ecu negative to maf.
Pin2 is 12 volt from positive harness to sensor.
Pin 3 black wire is 5 volt signal wire.
If this is correct you can have a few things to check on maf, maf might be dirty or damaged.
