Replacing brake pads on a 2005 Velociti

Post by Schnitzer »

Hi Guys

My brake pads need replacing and VW are charging me a arm and a kidney for it. So, I'm going to get it done else where?

Can some one tell me which is a good type to put on? Preferably the types that don't squeak so much......

Thanks guys :)

Ferodo Plats from Goldwagen. R140 for solid discs and R160 for vented discs.

Where do you live? I would go with Ferodo Platinums sould be around R250-R300. If you live in JHB you can come to my place and i will do it for you? ITs a real easy job takes about 20 min for both sides... :D

and if that Velo still came out with solid discs, buy the vented ones at Goldwagen and feel the amazing difference.I would go with Platinums, but that s my personal choice.

Thanks guys for the advice. Ferodo Plats it is then. Going to pop into Goldwagen during my lunch break.

Thanks fatbastard for the offering to help, but I have changed them before, going to try it again. :)

Oh, one last thing, what size hexagonal key is used to remove the bolts for the brake calliper.

Much appreciated. :D
