Post by ShizoQue » Tue Apr 16, 2019 4:46 pm

Hello guys, im having trouble with my golf. okay she will start up and idle for hours, but soon as we take her for a drive, 5 minutes and she cuts off. we have changed fuel pump, tank, distributor, carb, module.
is there any other ideas as to what could be a problem that we need to see to?

Float level, spark etc etc. you ned to see what disappears, spark or fuel. So take a loose spark plug with. When it dies pull a plug lead oof.mput younloose plug on, put it on the engine and see if it makes spark. If so you know it is fuel related.

Block off the return line from the fuel pot in front of the air filter and see if that helps.
