So bought a 2006 Touareg with OEM Delta HU. Any ideas on OEM or non (android) type upgrade? Current HU has 6 disc CD changer in the rear, I have an old XCarlink (adds iPod/aux type functionality between HU and CD changer, from my Mk4 I'll try)

Most sedan HU's don't fit as Touareg and sedans face plate differs (square vs slightly rounded) ..... not looking to spend thousands, but I can't deal with listening to commercial radio stations any more) Will start burning some CD's in the meantime

Was my first port of call. OEM Touareg HU's are pretty scarce, and even the Android units are not that cheap either. The van is a weekend toy, so wanna do this on the cheap

Did you manage to change your HU? I am thinking the RNS510 should fit in the Treg, no?

I've seen a few pictures of the 1st gen Toureg with an RNS510, so I think it will work. (2nd gen looks to have had the custom radio, with no alternative that I found).
I suspect the RCD330 will also fit then if you want CARPLAY

Will go for RNS510, trying to see if I can pick one up from a scrapyard.
