Just wanted to find out is a really need to put mud flaps on my car?

The dealership said it was advisable but I don't see the need, nor any mess/spray on the doors or bumper.

Please advise.

Nah, if they were essential, they would come with them from the factory. I think I've only seen an Amaroks with flaps standard, all other models it's an optional extra.

9 times out of 10 mudflaps is for styling purposes on a vw, more for that sporty look other then that the 1 would help if you a regular off-road driver but then again nothing a car wash could not resolve.
