Hi Mbuzi,

I sent a mail to membership@vwclub.co.za about a week or so enquiring about 2023 registration and banking details and haven't received anything as yet.

Dear VW Club Committee, Chairman, and Membership Manager,

I’m thrilled to be a part of VWCSA, but I’ve noticed that the club’s benefits are heavily centered around Johannesburg and Gauteng. What about members in other major areas like Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth? How do we benefit from VWCSA membership?

The T-shirts and membership packs are fantastic, and we love wearing them. However, for those of us who live over 1000 kilometers away from your events, there’s little value in that aspect of the membership.[https://ufilinglogin.co.za/] Additionally, the discounts at Goldwagen Delarey don’t help unless there’s an agreement with other branches across the country.

Are you considering a reduced membership fee for out-of-town members? At what point do you plan to expand into other major cities, if that’s in your future plans?

I understand that these are a lot of questions, but I feel it’s important to address them. It seems like you’re losing members outside of Gauteng, and not attracting new members from other big cities or smaller towns. In Port Elizabeth, for example, many people question the value of joining VWCSA, as they feel they don’t receive much in return. Our VAG Enthusiasts group on Facebook has over 1,000 members, including some senior VW employees. I believe that 30-50% of those members would join VWCSA if the costs were lower or if a few events were held in this region.

The opportunity to grow the club is there. The question is, do you want to seize it?

Thank you.

I’m excited to be a member of VWCSA, but I’ve noticed that many of the club’s benefits seem to be concentrated around Johannesburg and Gauteng. What about members residing in other major cities like Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth (https://davidlloyds.org/)? How can those of us located further from these central areas fully enjoy our VWCSA membership?

The T-shirts and membership packs are a great touch, and we appreciate them. However, for those of us who are over 1000 kilometers away from the events, these items hold less value. Additionally, the discounts at Goldwagen Delarey are beneficial, but they would be more impactful if similar agreements were made with branches across the country.

Are there any plans to offer a reduced membership fee for members who are not located in Gauteng? Also, is there a strategy for expanding the club’s presence into other major cities in the future?

I understand this is a lot to consider, but addressing these concerns could help retain members outside of Gauteng and attract new members from other regions. In Port Elizabeth, for instance, many are skeptical about the value of joining VWCSA due to the perceived lack of local benefits. Our VAG Enthusiasts group on Facebook, which includes over 1,000 members including some senior VW employees, shows that there is significant interest. If costs were adjusted or if events were held in different regions, I believe a substantial portion of these members would be inclined to join VWCSA.
