Hi Guys,
I am looking for a gearbox for my 16vt.
My current ffz broke 2nd gear after a year of using.
I am looking for a gearbox now.
Another std ffz or strengthened ffz would be fine.
Would also consider a golf 4 highline box but it has to be complete with pedal, lever, etc.
Do you guys recommend any other box?
Thank you,

Re: Ffz gearbox
You can't get the gears strengthened. FFZ has the strongest rivets on diff, 11mm. The weak point on these 020 gearboxes are the diff rivets and broken 3rd gear due to the main shaft flexing under torque. 2nd gear breaks from snap changing under high boost. Try to limit boost via a boost controller that you can set per gear and RPM's.Caellim wrote:Hi Guys,

You can get straight cut gears.
Alternatively you can do a cable shift box conversion, but that will require a few extra parts like cable shift gear lever and cables, different clutch, pressure plate and flywheel and starter. You mat need to change inner CV's too.
