Has any one ever adjusted their actuator to gain more boost?
Did it work and how much did you turn it up?

if your car has software you should be able to safely adjust it about 2 full turns on the rod. will increase boost littlebit, but if no software you will get errors

dont know where you learn this dude.. but i wouldnt advise people to adjust the WG actuator rod just like that.. with SW on the car especially.. it can cause surging and other crap you dont need.

I removed the turbo on my mk5 twice. The goddamn actuator was loose and that's why the car didn't boost, had to turn it quite a bit to get it into spec. If you turn it all it'll do on your car is possibly build boost quicker en dit is dit... Rather not start **** around there, believe me it will end in tears, an angry vrou and no credit on your credit card.

Ok go turn it up and run 2 bar boost..

See your car go into limp mode every time you boost and look like a chop.

Yeah just keep checking for sale section and also on GTI club.. they dont come up very often.. I waited and waited and the EVOMS and ITG never came up for sale so I eventually just got one new. R3400 but its worth it for the sound especially the dumping sound   ... if you cant find a used one just resign yourself that these things cost that much and rather save for the correct intake instead of a cheapy.. It does make all the difference..

Wait whaaat the internet is not always right?

Tightening the actuator will not increase your boost, the car has an n75 valve and will just open the wastegate if it sees more boost.
You might get a bigger boost spike but that does not mean more boost.

By tightening the rod you compress the wastegate spring a bit more, this changes the cracking pressure of the wastegate and can confuse the management to the point of surging, like solo said.

If the spring is old and has lost some of its stiffness then it might allow the wastegate to be pushed open by manifold pressure. adjusting the wastegate in this case may not cause issues.

To sum it all up, just leave the thing alone....
