My service costs are too cheap!!

Can't believe I'm querying this but I've just taken my 6R GTi in for it's 15k kms service and all they've done is an oil change and charged me R890...
Surely there is more stuff to be done on this service?

Nope, not at all, oil and filter and some checks...

Oil and filter, run on diagnostics and a multi point check is all a 15K service needed.

Checked the thread, page one has 'service costs' clicked on that, only reference to 1st service said R1270... mine cost R890...
Started this thread because the 6R Gti thread is a millionty pages long, got decent answers quick...
what the problem is?

I got a mail from a company that VW contracted to evaluate their servicing, how it works, they will make the appointment for you, collect the car from you and book it in, collect it after the service and then evaluate the work done. In return they pay R600 towards the service or if you've got a service plan, cash to you. Looks like they only interested in major services tho...

technically yes but the Golf GTI comes standard with the service plan, it's not an option.
