Golf 6 GTI DSG
Posting on behalf of Dono82
His Golf 6 GTI DSG seems to be having issues with regards to delayed power, boost only kicks in around 2400rpm and when cruising along it is really lazy on low revs?

Re: Golf 6 GTI DSG
Is it mapped?
Boost starts increasing at around 2000 - 2500 normally.
Driving in D car sometimes feels sluggish at low revs.
Change down gears?

Spoke to Tony from Zabka Motorsport and he mentioned that it could be an issue with the diverter valve?

Re: Golf 6 GTI DSG
Only late 2011 onward came with the H rev C(no flutter cup). H rev D from S3 has flutter cup both piston operated. Earlier models had crap diaphram dv's.Shygolf wrote:should be piston type as its a Mk6

Re: Golf 6 GTI DSG
I bet his chassis no. Is B and not C. Late 2011's are C chassis with revised parts.Ian_F wrote:Titleist has diaphragm type in late 2011 model.

Re: Golf 6 GTI DSG
Yeah Titleists has a B chassis with diaphragm type, same as mine. I've been tuned since 1k on the clock and had no issues with my DV yet so have just left it as is.

Re: Golf 6 GTI DSG
I would have the dv checked 1st. And also if the dealership has done DSG software update.
On my car (modded) I use manual most of the time. In D driving at low revs the car is slightly sluggish... until the boost kicks in.
