Remove scratches and scuff marks

Post by Polom4n »

Hi,

I'm new here :hi: I joined because I recently purchased a 2005 polo hatch. Thought this would be the best place to talk about upgrades, advice, fixes and so forth....

So my Polo has a few scratches....Now I have a few q's:

Would it be possible for me to remove them myself?
What tools and products would I need to this?
Anyone got any pics of DIY fixes in removing scratches?

Here are the scratches:

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks guys

TOP picture is from above the right tire.

BOTTOM picture is from the bumper on the left hand side.

Hi

Welcome to the forum

From the looks of your scratches, they have gone through the clear coat, you will need to use touch up paint or have those sections reaprayed as polish cannot fill so large sections

Thanks dood786, I'm glad to be here! And yeah they do look pretty deep.

Can you recommend some touch up paint and where to get some from? I'm in Durban, Umhlanga Rocks.

Also if I were to take it to a dealer or a panel beater, what would you estimate the cost at?

Thanks for your reply!
