:iagree:

Now I understand that AF = Auto Finesse.....
Well as new user of these products, with a little knowledge besides from reading on the forum......
I,ve only used Meguires gold class shampoo.....and finished off with a sealant stuff from AF...(which was in a kit I won a while back).

And I must say the results are actually amazing.....the next wash literally is easy as pie.

I am really keen on trying some more in the future.

Lololol!!!!!
Half Avalanche and half VP. ;)

lol..there we go.....

I respect the opinions and advise of detailers......but hell when you 10 detailers with 10 different opinions....what does a nigga do.....
The same thing you would do when deciding what bags to install, or what software to run..... your own research.

Get the opinions of many and sift out the truth from the marketing hyperbole
I'll be straight up with you dawggy.... your advise has been on point....and very informative.....hence research and experimenting is the way....

I will always agree when a valid point is made, BUT...

I find it hilarious when people think reading about products on the internet gives you enough knowledge to compare them with products you've tried.

Let's take price completely out of the equation here, whoever has tried all 3 products being mentioned, please state which of them you prefer and why.

Kyle, am I to understand from the above that you mean that Avalanche is better than VP..??

Please correct me if I am reading this wrong..
No bud that's not what I mean...

I meant that VP is better than maxi suds, when the topic of cost was brought up, Lawrence said he does not mind spending more on a product that works better....

So by that logic wouldn't he be using the VP snow foam?
Ok I'm with you...

Maybe I am the cause of this whole debate happening cos I brought up the issue of the dilution ratios however I understand and agree with Lawrence's argument fully though and it was the extended point I was trying to make but didnt get around to

But this debate has now evolved to "..you get what you pay for.." That may be true is alot of cases but it cannot be held out as a defence when all else fails.

There is one simple FACT here:

If AF Avalanche is used the way Vish and all you guys specify, it works and works brilliantly. However if Avalanche is used the way Auto Finesse UK specifies and advertises, it just doesn't work and this was admitted to several times here. ie: 1-2 inches filled up halfway with water versus AF UK, 1-2 inches filled right to the top.

Now this what I was trying to say initially and that my issue was not the foaming effect as i understand fully how Avalanche is supposed to work but the actual advertised dilution ratio's.

And therein lies one part of the extended debate. If AF UK specifies a specific dilution ration why must I literally triple the amount of product used to get the effect advertised. (note: i havent worked out the exact maths yet but its around that much if not more)

And the second part is that if you work out the cost per application used the way you guys specify, its not on par with the competitor brand, that being Valet Pro. At this point you cannot use the "..you get what you pay for.." defence..

Now all of this aside what is really disconcerting here is that this section of the forum has become an Auto Finesse versus the rest sort of place. Thats not how it should be. This place should be about learning and sharing and above all being honest (with yourself first).

I understand that there are brand ambassadors for AF here and I respect that but above all this place should be about mutual respect. I will respect your opinion on something and you should be able to do the same for me. Otherwise we should all just pack it up...

I'll say this one last thing, there is no "best product" out there - there is and always will be better. The key is to respect a product for what it is and its limitations..

I agree with you here completely bud, I do...

What annoys me is when people say they don't like something, when they haven't even actually tried it / only read about it online..

I'm sure you'll agree with me that reading about something and actually trying it are two different things?

All I'm saying is that, yes, voice your opinion.... If you have valid point's I'll respect them, but don't say "I don't like this product just because" if you are going to do that, then back it up with actual tests, like you have done with the dilution ratios.

It's extremely unfair in my books.
