Measured in Group 032 in the VCDS engine measurement blocks.

_DON'T_ clear codes before you do this - it resets them.
Hopefully his mec has a VCDS
I'm sure there are many people in the club with VCDS who will help out :)

If his mec does NOT have VCDS he needs a new mec. End of story. You can't service these cars properly without one.

Was using 4l/100km this morning, level road 120kph
Car was serviced on Monday.

My advice, get REVO SW and check your tyres, balancing and alignment, Tyre pressure on 17s should be 2.5bar.

if i got that wen booting it i would be okay... but granny shifting under boost
Check the MAF yourself but DONT touch it, they are really sensitive little things, if its dirty get some electrical cleaner spray and spray it, it will clean it and evaporate, again, dont touch it to clean it, it will break.

If ur mec used a vag-com and thats all that came up then u might have to go to a dealer and get a proper reading, find out how he checked and go from there, you can check the lamda urself as well, check ther front on on the CAT, if its dirty use the same elec spray to clean it with some cotton buds, a busted lamba/O2 sensor could cause the cab to run a little rich

Summing def isnt right but its gonna be a process of elimination, so be patient, once everything has been exhausted then you might have to go to a dealer for them to investigate, its difficult to be a forum mechanic so all we can really do is tell you what to check.

Is the turbo alright? no funny colour smoke, black, white or blue coming out the zorst if you tramp it?
il get my mac to check all this out... knowing me il cause some kak.... il also as him to check the 02 sensor

i no its hard to be a mac here but at least you guys gave me some direction.... hopefully all this gets sorted out....

Ensure the car is functioning correctly before getting software.

2.5 is too hard. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations in the petrol cap.
Alignment is worth checking though.

Ask Tiger if he checked your car with a VCDS (Vag-Com), having lotsa tools doesnt nessesarily mean he has the right ones for the job.

Better yet, ask on the forum if anyone has a Vag-Com and is willing to do a proper diagnostics on ur car for you, you might have to supply beers tho

Remember a normal VCDS scan WILL NOT SHOW YOU TRIMS.

You need to read engine measuring blocks.

Manufacturer recommends 2.7 with light load. TWT recommends 2.3, I evened it out at 2.5, still a smooth ride.

Smooth ride or not, its the way the tyre will ware thats the problem, too hard and the centre of the tyre will ware quicker than the edge, too soft and the egde's ware quicker blah blah

That's NOT the first thing.
Diagnose the car properly. Don't just go looking at/cleaning sensitive sensors.

Ask him what the long term fuel trim figures are.

As I said before - A SCAN WILL NOT REPORT TRIMS.

Remember, clearing DTCs erases trims as well.

THey will come back fairly quickly - within a week or so - but if he plugs in VCDS and clears codes, he'll blat them again. He must read the measuring block first.
