Yes dude, your car is seriously strong for stock form. even after the turbo change at VW, it should have actually been down on power, buts its high so congrats on the that!
yeah those mods will yield good power for you.
If you want to see crazy, check out Marco's TDI in action! INSANE!

Thanks Guys great event and to all who organized the event.
Was a pity that there were so few N/A cars and even less in class A.
But anywho, great to finally meet some of the guys.
I had a blast.

I did 61.6KW on the wheels. According to Derrick, if I multiply by 1.324 I get a rough figure of what the KW on the flywheel is. And that's 81.6 KW. (214NM at the wheels, 284NM at the flywheel)
I don't think that's bad considering I haven't done much to the car. Only a decat, PD160 and flatbed...
Glad I outscored the 1.6TDi...

Did Trevor recalibrate the dyno since our last visit with Ruan and Nando? Damn that looks very stingy...

Multiply by 1.34

for the kW on the flywheel.
Cheers

Between what I've heard and what I've seen of other dynos, I think this one is the closest to being correct, especially if you compare manufacturer specs to the dyno readings. Somehow VW missed the plot on the standard Golf V and VI GTi power specs. The new Polo 1.6 TDI, Golf VR6 and the Renault Clio sport are all correct when you multiply the wkw with the correction factor.

If I use the same formula i did 65.5 KW on the wheels. Multiplied by 1.34 comes to 87.8 KW on the flywheel. Not too bad for a stock Citi R-line.

Ladies and gents
Firstly a big thank you to everyone who came out in support of the event on Saturday, it was well attended and it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly

Thank you to Trevor and his team at SuperTech for the use of their facilities, was great to make a change and things ran smoothly throughout the day

Thank you to the food guys, Zunaid, Shiraan and family for the great food and drink on offer during the day

And lastly thank you to my fellow committee members, their SO's and friends who all pitched in on the day to make it the success it was...
I have been notified that membership was a bit of a mess on the day, which we are addressing at the moment, but if anyone had any issues they would like to raise with me, please contact me at neuk at vwclub dot co dot za...

That is a ridiculous claim to make and anyone converting to ATF power needs their head read...
Cheers
Nic
P.S. Results will be up soon enough

No the dyno has not been recalibrated recently. The numbers are on the wheels. Compare those to each other and leave it be....
How stingy the dyno is or how it compares to trying to work it back to a flywheel figure means absolutely NOTHING. It is the same for all the cars run on the day which is what it is all about. Boasting big numbers off a false dyno reading means nothing to anybody anyway.
The mazda was a little down from it's usual numbers but it still has a cape town tuning map on which means the boost is set too low for the highveld.
By the way - did I miss the really powerfull aftemarket turbo cars or ain't there any in the club anymore or did they just not pitch.

Seems many of the usual suspects with their big HP turbo cars were missing on the day.
John AKA Playback's car still impressed me though with figures in the 190WKW range if I am not mistaken. Considering his water meth was not used he did decent power and that with a little K04, not quite a big turbo application. We were looking forward to seeing the GS on the rollers though
