Good Day Folks,
Hope all is well? Could anyone please assist as per subject line. The owner's manual does not even make mention of RELAY position. I f anyone can direct me where to get a schematic of mentioned model would be great. I have googled this model and nothing helpful. Been to the stealers, they dont even have schematics or can answer me what relay control what function. You have to go with a sample of the relay. I have seen it myself on their system how things are laid out which is crazy.
If anyone know of a site I can check, will be really helpful.
TIA

U can check this site. It has the different variants of Mk5
https://www.google.com/amp/s/fuse-box.i ... -and-relay
However I doubt the alarm siren has a separate relay, it's probably being controlled via the J519 (convenience module) which is under the dash above the accelerator pedal.
These sirens commonly $hits themselves and need replacing. Batteries in them leak, corroding the entire circuit - should be info on that somewhere here.
Did U scan the car for any faults? A faulty siren should store a code.

Re: FUSE AND RELAY ASSIGNMENT ON JETTA 5 2.0LT COMFORTLINE
Hi there. Thank you so much for going out of your way to assist. I need to send you pics of all my fuses and relays. In the engine compartment is only one relay marked 100. No other relay. Under the steering there are not so many relays. The fuse on the side of the door has so little fuses you will be shocked as it is a comfort line model. I have changed the batteries in the siren which is controlled by a 10 amp fuse. When I bought the car the fuse was removed. After inserting the fuse the horn just carried on blasting. The remote could not deactivate it so I pulled the fuse. After replacing it. It now comes up no communication. Those fuse panels are a pain to remove. Can't figure out why when I initially inserted the fuse the alarm when crazy now no communications. So my thought was maybe a stuck relay. The module you referring to sits under the glove box which I seen on one of the you tube.
All this J* confuses the hell out of me. None of the engine fuse boxes matches mine. Hence I would like to send you pics if you don't mine.
If you can provide me with your mail or mobile no I will be highly grateful as you appear to be very clued up and really need help please. My mobile 082 975 3047

Hi. Sorry to add. I also mentioned a diagram so I can trace back to the responsible module.
