Hey guys.
So i met in accident in June 2023. Everything from the engine bay was taken out and kept outside(covered). Everything sat for a year until the shell was sorted out.. so my mechanic put everything back and the car runs fine but there's an issue with idle... when I start the car, it will cut off unless I give it some gas. But once I keep it idling for a while it idles fine until I drive then stop at a robot where it then drops to like 500rpm... but when driving the car, it drives perfect with no issues..
Can the water temp sensor be the problem? Since it sat for over a year

Re: Citi 1.4i problem
Check the temp sensor and the wiring, check for continuity from the temp sensor plug to the ecu. Let me know the year of the car or if you have mp9 or mpi and il tell you which pins on the ecu plug to check. Also check for any vacuum leaks

If you have access to vcs when the car is cold take note of temp reading and when car is warm take note of temp reading it should read ambient temp when cold and around 80 to 90 when warmed fully
