Citi Golf Tenaciti 2006 power loss.

Post by carburetooooooor »

Hello, :geek:

I wanted ask for some help diagnoising a problem with my citi golf.

At some point in the past the car power cut out while i was driving in heavy rain.
Yesterday it was raining heavily and whilst driving the accelorator cut. Hevay reain = common denominator.
It would pop and choke and the rumble of the engine would become more inconsistent in sound and tempo and then cut out. If i waited a bit it would start up again, but it would for a while struggle to start again, ignition would work but the accelerator would peter out
Is this just a thing i can expect to happen in heavy rain or might it be a deeper issue?

Thank you.

Sounds like your sparkplugs are getting wet, they beauty of u-flow heads and the plugs facing the grill.
Try use some Q20 to disperse the rainwater
