Hi Ladies and Gents

I just recently replaced my clutch and pressure plate on my Polo Playa 1.8i. However I’m not happy about how my clutch pedal feels. I am using a MK1 Golf clutch cable from Goldwagen as the self adjusting cable keeps on snapping. But now the pedal takes a while to return to where it should be after I engage the clutch. I don’t know if the cable is stretched and I need to get a new one. Is there any adjustments to the cable itself that I need to make?
