Throttle body seal for Polo N9 (2004) 1.6

Hi all!

I'm new, so I hope this is the right place to post this.

I have a VW Polo N9, which is still going steady. After pretty heavy mechanic bills and a desire to fix my car myself, I've started to do just that.

Anyway, I have realised that I need to replace the seal that connects the throttle body to the air filter box/engine cover. It's starting to crack and oil is leaking out at that point.

I went to Goldwagen and they don't have the part. Similarly, Tavcor doesn't have the part anywhere in SA. There is a possibility that I could get it from overseas or locally at a scrap yard, but I'm wondering if any of you know where I could possible get it new in South Africa?

Do you think this is a part that I could get made somewhere?

Any help would be really appreciated!

The agents should be able to backorder it from Germany for u, unless the part is omitted which is quite unlikely at the moment..

Find attached pic. If that's what u looking for, the goldwagen part number is on the pic. OEM number for 1.6BAH is 036129625R

I'll swing by Goldwagen again and hopefully take a look at that part. Otherwise, I'll wait for the German one.

Just a follow up on this post. I went to Goldwagen and managed to get the part you suggested. It fitted like a dream and is hard at work again!
