2019 Polo 1.0 Tsi vibration and idle shaking

Post by Viruz187 »

Hi All.

Trust you are well and safe.
I'm a newbie and would like some advise or even a solution for what I'm experiencing.

I'm from Durban and own a 2019 Polo 1.0 TSI Trendline.
I've noticed that between 0 and 2000 rpm, there is a vibration on acceleration. This happens @ every gear. As soon as it's above 2000 rpm the vibration goes away.

I've taken the vehicle to the VW in Umhlanga and they checked everything and it came back as the vehicle is within spec and could not find a fault.

It's so annoying to feel this vibration at each gear change.

Also noticed that when the vehicle is on idle, it shakes Abit. It's sort of when you in the vehicle or outside with a hand on the vehicle you can feel this shaking. The starting up has no issues, it's just when it idles. I read somewhere it could be a bad spark plug.

Some advise would be really appreciated guys.

Thank you.

Did you always have this issue or is it something new?

I thought I would get advise on the forum, but seems as my problem might be a unique one seeing as I haven't gotten any other responses.

Let me know if you come across any fix. I will do the same.

Is it a manual or auto?

I actually got tired of the back and forth with VW. Just a waist of my time. You would think that these are professionals and they woul pick up the issue easily.

When I was in dbn, I always preferred going to VW Weiss when i had a technical issue to look at instead of VW Umhlanga who didn't seem very capable on issues outside of normal services.

The good tech at VW Weiss was Henk, if I remember correctly, who then became the workshop manager/foreman. Also, always speak to the tech as the service advisors are mostly clueless

Yeah these service advisors are clueless. Umhlanga VW workmanship is also questionable. They always end up damaging something.
