Hey Guys
I've got a Golf 5 2.0tdi manual BKD engine, When I accelerate the car vibrates and if I keep it in the gear and continue to accelerate it will then shudder, I feel it through the seats and not through the steering wheel. It only does it when I accelerate, I have replaced the clutch and dual mass flywheel as well as the both inner CV,s which hasn't resolved the problem. After this I am convinced the vibration is coming from the engine because when I change gears the frequency of the vibration also changes with the engines.
I've scanned the engine and comes back with no faults.
The issue started when I changed faulty injectors, at 1st I got a fault on injector 4, swapped it out with a used one and the car ran perfect for 2 weeks then got the same fault on injector 3 & 4, then swapped those 2 injectors out with used one as well. Since then It been vibrating through all gears.
What gets me is that there is no faults, I've checked the injector values and on idle they all seem fine, I've logged the car while driving and those values go up a lot.
Here are the values logged with VCDS under "Injection Quantity - Deviation" while driving the vehicle.

Can anyone here please assist as I now have to consider sending in all the injectors to get them reconditioned but that will be a costly exercise and it still might not resolve the issue as it might be something else completely?

Replace the inner and outer CV joints. I had the same issue a few years ago with a client's Caddy TDI

Its normally your inner cvs thats worn out that causes that shudder.

I agree with the inner CVs being the first suspects - I had the same on my Mk 4 TDI.
But... the OP says that he's already replaced the inners.
And also that the vibration changes with engine speed when changing to another gear.
And also that the issue started when he started changing around injectors.

Those numbers are way out of whack at rpm. Generally it's a smooth idle deviation reading, never really looked at them while driving, none the less I doubt they should be going up that high.kevbez wrote:Hey Guys

Did u replace the seals and reset the lash on the injectors when swapping them out?

Any progress on this problem?
I had an idea that his DMF might have died.
Certainly a possibility at least.
