Hi Guys
I'm currently adding a amp and 2 X 12 dvc subwoofers to my citi golf
I currently have bullet super tweeters and super tweeters on all doors
Front doors has splits and back board has 6x9s
I'm currently running it on standard battery and alternator , will changing my battery to a 652 run my new additions safely ?
The specs are as follows Powerbass dvc 12" 24000watts 1500rms X 2 and a targa street falcon 7kd 3500rms
Thanking each of you in advance
2008 Golf mk1 Citi golf 1.4i

Hi budd
RE "I'm currently running it on standard battery and alternator , will changing my battery to a 652 run my new additions safely ?"
A bigger battery will help but only if its backed up by a good alternator. Your model should be using a 55/65A/h alternator and the normal 652's are rated higher. so your battery will always drain before your alternator can provide a "good" charge. Ideally you would want to do the Alti and battery upgrade together. Or if you have the money invest in a Targa battery(Veeeery expensive though-but in the long run its worth it).
I hope this helps. I been through the exact same issue with my setup
Cheers budd

here i would say
firstly if you gone run the car audio while driving( I would advise this) or standing still with the battery off( Iwould not advise this)?
if you gone be partying with the car from time to time lets say 1nc every 6 months while the car is idling its ok but not excessive playing.
Your battery cannot take the current draw even while driving .
First off invest in a big 3 upgrade Either youtube it or get a pro to do this.
If you invest in proper spec box your subs will be more effecient and loud with lower amp volumes ( Also great sound from a citi golf ). Most current amp draw will be from the mono.
628 for me normal life span is 3 to 4 years . With sound if u make sure to always check and play while driving its 2 to 2.5 years.
652 is better yes but do big 3 upgrade
If you really have the money
targa batt yes
or optima which im sure is more expensive
option 3 628 infront and second at the back plus bigger alti.
i see this is a old post so i dont see us getting a reply on how it worked out.
