Hi guys
I drive a Vw polo 1.9tdi hatchback 2004 (round light) .
My car tends to illuminate the engine light randomly so and then it switches off after some time driving . Do you guys Maybe have An idea on what causes it ?
Only way to determine what it is, is by scanning the car otherwise you might be trying to solve all sorts of none existent issues and throw money at it when you can find the fault easily.
It must be a fault that solves itself when you drive. But the fault will be stored on the ECU.

2007 VW Jetta MK5 1.9 TDI DSG,
Mods: Simple EGR delete, LED interior set up, LED rear footwell lights, LED Puddle lamps, LED Doorhandle illumination, LED License plate lights, LED Boot lighting.
Best is obviously to scan for the error that will be stored, but my money will be in the brake light switch behind the brake pedal. Check if your brake lights come on when you press the pedal, if not that's the problem.

Brake light switch usually flashes the coil (glow plug) Icon...
Engine management light will come on for stuff like Mass air flow, coolant temp sensor, EGR etc.
