MK1 Carb 8v Conversion

Good day People,
Im sure this question has been asked a thousand times b4...

I have a VW Golf mk1 1.4 Carb 2005. This morn my engine sized after overheating.
I want to replace the engine with a 2.0 l 8v. Obviously i would like to cost as low as possible.
What conversions needs to be done and what has r=to be bought aside from the engine?
