Have you tried not trying too much?

Disconnecting an odo is not an ethical thing to do.

That is the stupidest excuse I've ever heard for disconnecting an odometer

I wish I was clever enough to get given a car for my 18th birthday.

There's nothing wrong with a high mileage car that has been well kept.

This are a weird story, I would think the son would be happy to get given a car, never-mind the mileage. Besides, the buyer after the son might like to know the real mileage. I would.

Dodgy AF.

Reminds me years back on the forum of that idiot that wanted to blow up his Velo motor so that his dad could fit a bigger faster motor. We ripped him a new A$$hole.
