Double-Din into a MK3 Dash.. Anyone ?

Post by duggy8v »

Hi all

Has anybody locally tried to install a double din media player into their mk3 ?

Please share pictures and a DIY tutorial, if any.

Thank you.

I have seen it done, but it involves quite a bit of cutting into the dash. If you are wanting a big touch screen rather look at an alpine halo9 which has a single din back end and a floating screen.

It can be done, but you have to relocate a few things like the airvents above the stock single DIN spot or the ventilation controls under it (seen this done a few times), or modify the centre console to take a double DIN.
Or like Theunus said.
