Dubrun 017 - KZN Run

Post by Mitch »

Comm forgive me if I am jumping the gun.

Are there any plans in the pipeline for the KZN members to meet the convoy in Harrismith like last year?

Or will it be up to the members to arrange their own stuff?

I am still debating whether or not to go to Harrismith again this year, and woold like to plan ahead. If I do go there may be another 3 guys that would join.

I don't think there will be a formal convoy but there should be a few guys going to the event. I don't think the crowd will be huge though as the Dubrunners favour spending the Saturday at Beach Bums. And for most the driving would be quite much from the South Coast to the North Coast in one day, especially considering that the Jhb convoy would have driven 8+ hours the day before.

Even being from Durban, I would personally not attend an event in Park Rynie if I plan on later going to Beach Bums. Just too much driving.

What's the story with accomodation. Need to start making plans as I would like to go up to Harrismith, but need to apply for a wife visa.

There will definitely be a decent DubRun contingent at Dubs At The Beach. Chaz has done a lot for the club and the scene in general. Supporting his event is going to be nothing but awesome!

Cool. So nothing formal being arranged accommodation wise. Can the Durban guys planning to go to harrismith just find and book their accommodation? Last year we all left Durban together and stayed at the same place. Can't remember who arranged it but there were quite a few RK guys and Jordache and his crew

It seems like the plans for the KZN Run to Dubrun 017 are in motion. For those who attended in the past, what was the highlight of the event for you?

Regarding accommodation, how do you usually go about arranging stays for events like this, especially if traveling in a group?

While there's no confirmation yet, members might need to arrange their own plans for meeting the convoy in Harrismith, so it's best to stay updated and plan accordingly if you decide to go, potentially with other interested members.
