Un True.
Your ffz will fit straight on!
just make sure you get yourself a 1.8/2.0 210mm flywheel and clutch kit.
So it can handle the extra power.

I worked it out to be safe look at spending R20k on the conversion. That is if you do all the work yourself. and look for those baigans laying around

Things you will need.
1. Motor (try get one without drive by wire but cable TB else you going to need a cable Tb.)
2. clutch and flywheel 210mm
3. Down pipe
4. Boost pipes
5. intercooler
6. Silicone hose
7. Management system
8.Right engine mount made up if not using the APU
9. Dyno
10. Service
11. fitings were needed

This is if all is still ok on the motor you buy. So expect a few extars here and there.

I hope im not missing anything here.

Of course if you use a PP XMS4C-4AKTB you can Keep the Drive by wire. All you need to do is put a spring on the pedal and attach a TPS to the pedal shaft. It will control boost and use all the stock sensors on the motor.....Even down to full sequential...

Hi guys,

I am thinking of swapping the engine of my 1.6l motor in my golf one. I am thinking of boosting it. What will be the best engine for the job?

Thanks

Revive

Please tell me what is the correct recipe for the AGU, I know rhe abf turbo motors make 200kw+ without to much hassle, it seems the 20v motors needs alot of motivation, please prove me wrong :violin:

How long is a piece of string?

The 1.8ts can make 150wkw on a turbo smaller than a t25. Most of the 200kw ABFs are on a t3/t4, slap the same turbo on a 20v and it will make more power for the same boost.

There are weak points on the 20v. But with upgraded rods and exhaust valves they can do 400kw+ pretty easily.
