Would this negatively affect airflow?

Yes, rounded will result in better flow.

Have you tried at that motorsport place close to the circle in Independence road coming down from Jan Jonker?

Otherwise contact GW Delarey or search at an autolec place.

I suggest a scrap yard.

Ask if you can cut the connectors off of a damaged wiring harness.

There are many makes of vehicles and models that will have the connectors you need for the throttle, etc.

You can buy the connectors at a spares shop and crimp them on - I had mine done at auto ecu.

Another option is to courier to me - I will have it done and courier back.

Eish would have been nice to know beforehand... So many school fees and stuming blocks lol...

Easiest would probably buy a new one and send to you...

How dificult would it be to crimp them and where would one get them?

Hey dude I used the original dizzy cap and relocated my brake booster reservoir. Trying to find a dizzy cap that wouldn't knock the reservoir, wouldn't need to be modified or wouldn't mean major changes to the management were some of the reasons I decided to keep it simple. There are a number of different dizzy cap options u can use tho, I do however believe that the abf cap is not simply a direct replacement as its 1stly a single window cap (u need 4 window) and it doesn't mount the dizzy with the same clips instead it uses bolts/screws.

As I said in my pm - the 16v dizzy that I bought from Volkspares didnt have the pins and my leads were for the pin cap.

Really not a train smash ... you can get the connectors from a spares shop. Remove the pin connectors with screw driver and crimp on new ones.

Much easier than relocating anything - was just a bit more work to find a supplier of the correct cap.

This is not an ABF cap - ABF cap screws on , these ones work with the original clip.

Agree with AC, just go to spares shop and get the brass crimp on connectors and cut yours and fit the brass end connectors and you are done. If not mistaken the pictures in AC's post advertising these caps showed the plug ports without the pins.

I dont think aircooled beetles have brake boosters.. iirc the brake master was connected directly to the brake pedal..?

You need to search for this at a spares shop. Cut current plug wires, trim back and fold centre core over and put brass clip over it and crimp with a set of pliers.

This is easy to do. Remember to put the rubber over wire first before crimping these on.

Find old type plug leads in scrapyard that have these on the leads and buy the leads and tranfer them over to your leads.

22 year olds not what they used to be ...
Brake pipe fittings stripped with removal.

Decided im going big brake and booster delete if i can find the parts...

Had bigger on but not the 280mm disks.

Decided not to be in Such a hurry anymore... As i changed the brake master cylinder to a 4 hole one but reservoir bottle still in the way...

Will lift bottle in the interim until brake kits come.

Have u considered just moving the bottle instead? It's working for me so far and eventho there is a brake line between the dizzy cap it still clears n is not in the way while driving. Hope this helps... ImageImage

Think my engine is mounted more to the middle... Will take pic tomorrow.

Not moving it but rather lifting it for now...

But essentially deleting the booster can make the bay look cleaner as well.

Thanks your pictures help for the short term.
