Hi guys ....so I officially think im addicted to the Golf Mk1... so just picked up another (3rd) to be exact > a rare two door left wheel drive Mk1 * images to be posted soon
So this might not be new or might have been done a billion times over but i wanna give it try aswel....
So here goes ... need help/advice on what engine i should put ...i ddnt want to put an ABF engine or some other VW engine, i want to try something different like putting an audi engine in there from an A3 or A4 or whatever as long as it looks good and wont be much of a hustle
so please advise and fire suggestions my way!
Wont be installing a turbo
Just wanna keep it clean and standard!

Re: Different Engine.......
Best bet would be older A3 as they have transverse engine layout that will help with installing. As far as my limited knowledge goes the A4's all have longitudinal layout that makes it difficult(not impossible) to fit as you have to get all the transverse layout parts like mounts and intake

Re: Different Engine.......
No stress. Viper on the forum makes very good parts that can help with the install and there is alot of ride threads with the 1.8t and 2.0 N/A 20v engines.amanita_king wrote: βWed Jun 13, 2018 4:39 pmThanks man ill try doing some research into those...RedBeard wrote: βMon Jun 11, 2018 8:12 am Best bet would be older A3 as they have transverse engine layout that will help with installing. Re: Different Engine.......
You need to get the car checked out first, I can't imagine it driving to well being only left wheel drive
