Golf 5 1.9 tdi vibration on clutch pedal

Post by sanelenanti »

I have a 2005 Golf 5 1.9 TDI with 277000 kilometers on the clock. I have noticed that recently when I slightly tap my foot on the clutch pedal or leaving the clutch upon changing gears, I feel vibration on the pedal.
Pointers and suggestions/advices are appreciated.

Thanks Panic. What is the worst that can happen if it fails completely? Is it also advisable to install a used one or I need a new one?

Anyone who might happen to have this kind of a flywheel?

Always replace a DMF with a new one, they are not reuseable. Contact your nearest Goldwagen who will be able to supply a Luk or Sachs kit.

Worst case is the flywheels separating on the DMF , - Hole in the bell housing or gearbox

If you have a 5 speed , a SMF combo might be an option but I stand corrected

Personally I would replace with a new DMF and be done with
1992 Mazda 323 B3 - Masala Mods
2008 VW POLO GTI - 76mm DP + 63mm exhaust , induction, FMIC, Thanas Tuned

Nothing wrong with a smf kit - used quite a few kits on the 6speed polos with no problems at all, very little chatter with a little harder pedal feel though..

U can get a smf kit for around 5-6k from TPH (The Performance House) in the GP area(facebook them)

Just an update guys, it turned out that it was the DMF, replaced with LUK Clutch kit and problem solved.
