POLO VIVO 1.4 TIMING CHAIN

Hi All,

Please can you assist me with timing on a polo vivo 1.4 CLP engine ?

I cannot seem to find any timing marks, please help.

There are no timing marks on those engines.

You will need the timing tool kit :

Yup no timing marks what so ever, I set it on TDC using the tool in hope of finding the marks for future reference but that was a waste of time.
I bought a King Tony timing lock set from Diesel electric for about R1250, basically it locks both the cams in position with that plate which has 2 dowels that slot into the back of the cam, then you bring no.1piston up and use the dial gauge to check TDC of the piston, once that's set slip the chain on and release tensioner.
Turn motor by hand to double check and sorted
