I have a Golf 1.4 TSI DSg with the Rline kit - i have the Rline kit with the headlights below. When i activate daytime run lights, only the outer light goes on, the inner remains off. Any idea how to activate the inner light?Image
Only the Proper R runs both sets of DRLs. All other models only the main light and a park light.

I stand under correction but the R-Line kit is body kit and wheels...
You are correct, only the golf r inner lights switch on. As for other models it's just a mere plastic

Picked up my Pacific Blue Golf 7 1.4 TSI DSG this week. Pretty happy with the car. Ride quality and interior is much better, coming from a 6C Polo GTI.

Has the following:
- Bi xenon head lights with LEDs
- High beam light assist
- PDC
- Park assist parallel parking
- LED tail lights
- Radio Navigation system

Quick question, my TSI badge has the red "I" - any significance? Saw a Golf 7 today with the all silver TSI badge.

Yours it's a comfortline and the one you saw its a trendline

The TSI with SI in red is a highline model pushing 110kw

I am using an OBDeleven, you can check their website obdeleven.com. Purchased mine about a year ago - delivery took about 2 weeks.

You can do, coding, adaptation and run diagnostics same as VAG-COM/VCDS. The device cost $35.99 and can download the app on Google play, currently only available for Android platform

I'm also more than happy to borrow one mine for free as I hardly use it of late.

Mine has been like this since day one - especially when it's hot. Usually I just close the vents when not using an aircon but you will fill the heat flowing through the footwell

So I will say it's normal

Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk

Drop off my car this morning for service and was informed there's a campaign for software update.

One will have to see what change or improvement it will bring

I service in Edenvale due to having Oettinger software (which more and more sounds like a warranty killer so probably pointless haha)

Car was booked in at a Hatfield Braamfontein - being using since my first car and the fact that never had any issues with warranty claims eventhough all my cars are modded

Was advice that there's nothing that can be done regarding the heat coming through the vents it's normal

New brake pads were fitted (front and rear) and noticed this morning that there's a grinding and rubbing noise when driving at low speed and also woke up to a puddle of oil on my driveway

Waiting for one of their drivers to come pick the car up to to fix. Car didn't have all these issues when it was book in. Very upsetting

Valuation was also done as I am considering getting rid of the car and getting the new Tiguan

Car sorted - the oil leak was due to the wrong screw being used hence the oil sipping through

Issue with the breaks - there were some dirt stuck in between the break pads and rotors, hence the rubbing noise

I guess the technician smoked some socks on the day

And this happens this morning with my daughter in the car - cause someone decided to treat a stop street like a yield, typical SA driving mentality
