Re: Powermods vs 60-2 Dicktator
I'm running Dicktator 60-2 in both my 16V throttle motors with no issues. I'm not familiar with Powermods but as stated, make sure there is backup and that your tuner is capable (and willing) to tune it.
Current rides:
VW Golf - 83 GT 2.1 16V 2-door with throttles
VW Golf - 78 LS 2.0 8V 4-door (2.1 ABF with throttles in progress)
VW Golf - '08 Citi Storm - 1.4 for now
Hyundai - 1.4 Getz (daily)

A lot of the racing guys use them and they have a pretty cool dash display where you can tune from it.

With regards to Powermods you can speak to Panic as he supplies and tunes them.
He also does Dicktator and even Sarel does Dicktator.

My tuner does Spitronics , Dicktator and Power mods.
He mentioned that power mods has more windows than Dicktator , so you are able to fine tune each slope.
Also Power mods has a build in module , where Dicktator has it separate
Yes it is developed locally and is the new go-tech

Yeah I definitly don't supply powermods.
I tune them under duress if I have to but that is about it.
It's jazzed up 80's domingo. Not much more that can be said.

Re: Powermods vs 60-2 Dicktator
yes dude. u am well aware of powermods and where it comes from, had an issue and called technical support they refused to assist with the gearbox control module issue, and referred us to their local distributor. hence my statement . with technical support dicktator never failed me... well depends on your situation i guess that was just my take with my experience on powermods. never again .AlexTDi wrote:A lot of the racing guys use them and they have a pretty cool dash display where you can tune from it.
