SCRAP YARDS ???

pls help me out dudes, i cant find a scrap yard that keeps VW stuff/cars and need one fairly urgently... preferably in the south of jhb or maybe east rand... i need mk2 golf body bits but would prefer a whole donor car if i can find 1 at the rite price...
It is an ingenius solution to a problem that should have never existed in the 1st place...

bishops will receive my call shortly, but last time i was there they only had newer cars

Also, ABC Auto spares - they're in kempton park. They do VW and Audi only.

ABC got nothing, Bishops has some aftermarket like door shells and fenders, but i still need front cradle...

theres a few there in Steeledale I go to them often dunno the phone numbers but they kinda small and often have old vdub stuff there, they abit steep in my opinoun but I
get alot of stuff for my old '82 2 door golf there,theres one opposite the other there think they in Meson road off Heidelberg road.If you in the south you might know of them also know of one in Germiston Ill have to think hard to try remember where exactly it is though.

I haven't been to them in ages but have you tried Bonerts? Also Metal Spares in Ophirton is huge.

Think so I've just been to the one where theres 2 opposite each other but yea the owner drives a scooby and theres a fair amount of scoobys and peugeots there but theres also some vdubs there,found old chrome bumpers there once but he wanted a tonne for them lol
so i said no thanks.But the one across from them have old golfs

Why not try Wannenburgs in Pretoria, a little out your way but you might just get a pirate cradle from them fo a good price?

ok i tried ace, wanenburgs and drews and nothing, SUMP has 1 golf 2 but its been in a front end. they do sell pirate bits tho... but not front doors with the quarterlight... suppose its a start tho...

So you only need one headlight?

Post in the wanted section and try be specific about what you want. E.g. Right or Left, Xenon or not, etc.

Also have you tried Goldwagen, they normally cheaper than the agents.

You do know that scrap yards only look at whats on their shelf when you PHONE them....

Spent many hours at scrapyards once upon a time - had a Mini 1000 and found a GTS Clubman 1275 instrument cluster - and it escalated from there ... ;)
