When I bed my brakes they start smoking on the 5th or 6th stop out of 10, looks scary...

i fitted this kit to my project but im having a small issue
the disc is sitting way to close to the carrier...
ive spoken to viper about this and he also hasn't experienced this before

anybody else seen this before?
any ideas as to why this could be happening?

both sides are doing the EXACT same
Mine did the same, just touched the carrier with a flap disc on the grinder, problem, no problem.

How did you get that right? Are you sure its not a fluid leak?

Well I installed a 288 deg cam and took the caddy for a spin. If it was fluid leak my brake fluid bowl level will drop and the level is still the same.

hi there,

just a quick question, this would work on the Cti 's stock setup, not sure if they had the same caliper as all the rest?

also from the posts its seem 15" wheels a must? I'm still on the stock 14' s 6 spoke alloys

thanks

Will fit the the Cti stock calipers. Any you will have to get 15" rims. Caliper won't clear 14s

Hi there, another quick question, do you guys sell/stock the braided brake lines as well as the Dot 4+ fluid you (if I'm not mistaken) mentioned elsewhere and what are the prices?

Hi,

I bought this kit from you guys and I have a big problem with both carriers hitting into the disk, the left side I have grinded more than half the thickness of the carrier away and it still hits into the disk, the right side also hits into the carrier but not as bad. Have you had any other complaints about this with your most recent spacer brackets? I'm just wondering if maybe the brackets were not machined correctly? Please let me know how I can solve this issue as I'm not comfortable with grinding more away on the carrier, this is on a golf mk1 with the standard calipers, your 280mm disks and your spacer brackets

Hi bud,

Send Viper a pm. He will get a notification if you pm him. He is not always on the forum.

I had the same kit on my car with no issues.

Should have taken it back before putting the grinder on it and explained your problem. The guys would have then been able to steer you right.

Viper has this same kit on two of his personal vehicles and supplied dozens of other guys on the forum who are all happily driving them.
