The black once we make will only be ready in about 4 weeks time. Every one have stopped taking orders at the manufacturing plants for financial year end, resulting in back orders . Sorry everyone. But there are about 20 chrome once left for now

Hi viper
I just got my brace and held it up to the lca bolt holes..just as I feared the holes are slightly off :( I know my car was in a knock before so I'm assuming the chassis is a bit off...any easy way to remedy this???I could slot the strut but that would take away the point of it being there

We used a strong ratchet strap on my friends car to get the bolts to line up.

Depends on how far of. What you can do is, put the bolts through the brace all the way to the heads. Then insert the same amount both sides in to the chassis till it can't go more. Then start to tap the bolts in with a hammer , alternating between the 2 bolts . Let me know what's happening and good luck

i checked on the net to see what the measurment between the lca bolts should be.they claim its 683mm centre of bolt....i measured my car and its 687mm.then i measured the strut and its 680mm...is it suppose to be 680?

The other 250 braces was 6 80 mm and both my cars. The holes are also little bit bigger to compensate for that

Jack the car up and put in on axle stands (behind the front wheels), the car will 'droop' in the front and move the holes closer together. If not enough, use a ratchet strap to pull the horns together as described in a previous thread.

Unfortunately the mk1 golf body's do flex. So it's difficult to make parts that will fit straight with no mods.

If you don't have a ratchet strap you could also use some blog dread and loop it over the 2 arms, and then start winding it up like when you put up a fence
