Convert Halogen Park Lights to LED

So the little park light globe died on me and so I thought I would like to see what another colour would look like.

Comes from that little hole there:


Now do you get an LED bulb to replace it if you want red, the specs are 12V 4W. I was thinking of possibly just making a sort of transparent, red sleeve to fit over the globe if I can't source LED bulbs for it (drawn in). (Changed my mind on the colour)

Any ideas on where I could get LED or fabrication ideas?

I must agree, will look ricey, just get white LEDs...

I agree. You do get replacement LED's for the park globes. I had blue in my car, had it for about a month untill a cop pulled me over. Safe to say I changed to white very quickly.

Guess i'll go back to standard halogen then, the T4W leds seem to be too difficult to find anyway. I'd still like a white LED.

I see you are in Cpt. Go to racing edge in Parow. He will have those LED's for you.

If you dont come right let me know. Theres a shop in bloem that sells those leds in any colour. But white is best as the rest are illegal

Called him now, he's got stock, gonna pick up the rest of the LEDs while I'm there (number plate light, cabin light etc etc). Thanks for the heads up man.

Went through during my lunch break to pick them up, got 3 sets, gonna do the parks, tail lights and single cabin light.
