The brake upgrade is only available from us . The discs on the other hand is available from any Goldwagen.
I have found no quality difference between Febi, ATE and Meyle . The big difference is price. I can post it down to you for R55.00 extra

So you guys are linked, all GW's across SA? Then I get it at Goldwagen Bellville.. Do you guys use the FEBI pads over the FERODO to match the disks?

We prefer ebc pads , but if you don't have the budged for that use ferodo.

We are a franchise and not linked at all. We all get out parts from the same mother company apart from my special parts, like the brackets witch i designed myself

It might be a stupid question but if i were to change to these discs, would i need to change my calipers, at the moment i have solid discs, and i noticed these discs are vented ???

I know 2litre and still solid discs...asking for trouble :fear:

Ya I figured you are franchise, fone GW in CPT, they only stock the disk size and the pads but not that specific bracket you were talking about. You said you make use of the 280mm polo disks instead of the 288mm disk, only reason therefore is because the 288mm limits you to certain rims am I correct?

I had 288mm late VR6 disks on my Velo and GT, the problem is not with the extra 4mm it's bigger, it's with the increased off-set (basically the width of the spacer). I had 15" Velo rims on both cars. Wikus's kit maintains the correct off-set, allowing you to fit any aftermarket rim specified for the Citi Golf (15" or bigger)

Mainly the only thing stopping me is I've got a set of 16" mk4 GTI rims and a Velo rim. So i'll have to redrill your set to accomodate the GTI rims as well? Where the VR6 will be a bit better for my situation of wheels.

Sorry Torker, probably riving you crazy with the dumb questions on my thread as well. :fear:

Yes you asked the question if they would fit on your caddy. All I am saying is that Viper could not have known what calipers you have, looks to me as if you are blaming him. Just get the correct calipers then. Any citi or velociti calipers would fit, provided you get the carrier for the calipers as well.

They do fit all mk1 golf's. If you have small calipers on , then you need to upgrade unfortunately. If you have asked me this question before and I miss understand It, I apologise.

Just find any mk1 caliper af a golf that's manufactured after 1982. That's why it doesn't make sense that your 1985 got small calipers on :bang:

Jip we fount that on a few of the older mk1's. The casting are very rough and we needed to clean the the part up using a grinder just make them fit more snugly. Your calipers have been modded BTW, some one removed the front bar between the upper and lower part of the caliper :fear:

Not really an issue, I picked it up when I fitted the kit to my '83 GT, 30 minutes with a grinder sorted it out nicely...
