Post by Donnie Darko »

Hi Guys

I am currenty on stage 2 CPI on my GTI and have been told i need to upgrade my fuel pump. Is this true? If i hoof it i get a little stutter(Only happened like 3 times since i have had the car). When i asked what this was i was told fuel pump is not keeping up or something like that.

Any feedback please. Best place to do it as well?

You're experiencing fuelcuts. In essence the map on your car is demanding more fuel pressure than your pump can supply and that's what you're feeling. I never had that on my mk5 when I was stage 2... the car requested 115bar and delivered it, I upgraded the pump to an autotech pump and 2+ file... the car requested 130bar and delivered it.
