Best intake to fit on a Golf 5 GTI??

I want to know what intakes are decent out there. I have a intake but want something a little neater and less joins. I have heard of Evoms etc...

It does look good. the one i have either need neatening up or i must just replace it.

when im driving normally it has a whistling sound. Is that normal???

Try a post on the Wanted section... I got a 2 month old intake for a good price that way.

Race!, ETuners, APR, VAG Technik and Unitronic had no stock when I wanted...

I went the other way, I traded the evoms I had for an itg and flow and boost went up on logs. The itg is an ugly intake but it does work. On the mk6 the evoms intake is the best there is and on the 5 it was a near perfect intake. You won't go wrong getting an evoms, mny ex mk5 just liked the itg more than the evoms.

Is that whistling sound at 2500-4000rpm when going wot? That's the reason I sold the K&N typhoon I had.

Ja around that RPM. Random whistle here and there.

^^^The whistling went away when I swopped intakes. I think it has to do with the piping being too thin and causing air to whistle. The itg has a step up design and the evoms has it too if I remember correct.
