Other options are Precision, or chat to Riaan from XPT. They do a range of Holset turbos.

The apr stage 3 kit isn't all that much more impressive than a properly tuned k04 with lots of bolt on's.

Re: Advice needed for BT on GOLF R!!!
you can do almost anything with stock internals however it will be like having your cake and not being able to eat it. lol. waste...
go big or go posie is what i say, why go through all the effort for gt28 or similar...
gtx35r, precision 6262 etc...its a 2L so use what you have the best way possible. WHP target is a place to start before deciding on a turbo...

Rather maybe load more mods onto your K04 then see where that takes you! I know of someone who managed 350hp 575nm on k04.Dyldo_GTi wrote:yea i figured, im waiting on a quote for that kitruan9n wrote:The apr stage 3 kit isn't all that much more impressive than a properly tuned k04 with lots of bolt on's.

Re: Advice needed for BT on GOLF R!!!
you have APR so speak to the DBN okes who have already run 11's with the car and find out what they recommend if i were you...
big turbo would require a lot of work if say it were more than k04, ntake, manifold, injectors, HPFP, rods, rod bolts, headwork, cooler etc, it can be a combination of a lot of things depending on what you want...I could probably writea page of mods one could do...
Budget+whp goal+builder+setup= X 400m time.

Re: Advice needed for BT on GOLF R!!!
Sameer from APR (Experience in Durban) ran 11.6 with his K04 Golf R...
Mods are:
APR software
Downpipe and Experience exhaust
HPFP
Intake
WMI
That is it... Stock turbo, stock intercooler, and 95RON pump fuel!! (Could be different rubber, but AWD doesn't really need it)
And here's the proof...
