Don't think there are many people here who are qualified to rate software, unless you can rip it apart and figure out what was changed and make comments on that.

Same goes for most other things. To me a downpipe is a downpipe is a downpipe, I cannot rate it if I only try 1 out.

Most guys wont wont buy all the brands of software out there to see which one fits them the best. So the ratings are either going to be 10/10 I got great service and it works great or 0/10 the service sucks and the product does not work. Plus the only time you are going to find out that the service sucks is when the product does not work like you want it to.

10/10 for Shaheen from E-Tuners. I had troubles with powersteering , posted it up on the forum and voila , 10 mins later I get a PM. Shaheen asking if I'm able to drive out to Centurion so he can hook me up on VagCom. Since I'm new on the forum this creeps me out , so I set up to meet him anyways but went to fetch my friend so that I wont pitch alone

Long story short , I had blown a fuse and never checked my fusebox   :bang:

Long story short again , before I left I read a thread ( Rave ) wrote for Shaheen about his awsome software he did on a Polo TDi. I never knew he did software so after hooking me up I asked him about this. While being there we went and did logs and he took my stock map. Returned a few days later , he did his magic for 5mins and thats it !! I asked him I dont want trouble with my turbo as my milleage was at 205k km's that time !! I'm now on 236k km's and NO problems whatsoever , well , atleast not for me , but for my competition it might not be downhill all the time

Shaheen is now a verry good friend of mine and the reason is simply because he is an amazing guy ALWAYS willing to help out !!

Now , can I get a CSB ?? :troll:

STO

10/10 :hi:

to be honest, maybe not a 10.. something like 7 or 8 but thats because of location! dont get me wrong there product is excellent and Vivs did an amazing job on my car but he is all the way in jhb :bang: and im here in durbs and sometimes the dbn logger is very hard to get hold of.
based on Product, power, efficiency and drivability - 10/10  - i know of some tuned pd100's and tuned by big companies that are actually shocked with the overall map on my car.

This has not gone well. Honestly thought i would get some objective responses here. :bang:
But it seems like tuners around the country are bailing guys out of jail.

How about this, screw the rating out of 10. Just give a short description of your experience with your tuner. Even if everyone gives a glowing review, im sure it would help the noobs being noobish.

Point of this thread was to slow down the weekly software threads, not start a new one.

Rating is pointless so I won't do that...

Let me just say however that I have had CPi software on my car for 4 years.
Not once have I had an issue. When upgrade maps are available I getted phoned to come and load it.
Flashing back to stock for service purposes and so forth are free of charge.
Launch control that was recently made available was free of charge.
Any problems which there never is, is sorted out promptly.
I have a PD100 making 113wkw.
I know that no matter what ever car I have if possible, it will be CPi tuned.

Besides the usual, CPi tuned crews and owners are welcoming and friendly.
A big thumbs up to Myan and CPi chiptuning innovations :hurray:

Nerville, I agree your heading is more suitable.
Dean, when someone asks the question, 99% they ask for a software recomendation and not a tuner recomendation. hence my thinking.

I agree that this does belong in rants and raves, but where does the software question usually pop up?

Just an idea? Why not set up some kind of criteria if you're interested in rating the software types?
For eg.
Increase in power
Customer service
Price
Perks of the software (eg. launch control etc etc) and so on?
You could set a rating for each eg again
Increase in power +30% = 10/10; +20% = 7/10 or whatever? just a suggestion?
After all, someone who is looking for software is really always interested in those things? Just my 2c
