that was more kak praat, but in many cases it cannot be saved, can you "hook" the scratch with your finger nail?

Nope, was thinking about sanding the glass with very fine sandpaper or many use polish with a machine?

If this is an actual scratch (ie if you can feel it with your fingernail) and not just some mark, then you need to bear in mind that in order to remove a scratch out of anything, metal, plastic glass, paint, etc. you must remove material around the scratch until the surface is level or equal to the lowest depths of the scratch or scratches.

In my opinion no DA polisher is going to have the power to remove enough of the surrounding glass to remove the scratch, and you will need a rotary polisher for this.

I have no experience in polishing scratches out of glass but from what I have read up on the various detailing forums, it is nowhere near as easy as polishing a scratch out of paint (think about how hard glass is compared to paint).

Sorry I can't give more advice on what to do, but perhaps someone else here can.

If that mark really is a scratch, I think you may be in for a new windscreen bud

Pay your insurance the minimal amount (few hundred bucks) and replace the windscreen... done.

Unless ofcourse you want to attack it with cerium oxide and a rotary? <<<< too much effort in my opinion :hi:
