my brother in-law is looking for a way to make his vw 1.6i golf mk1 get a quicker 1/4 mile time....any ideas.....was thinking cams ,branches, free flow ,gasflow?

Try Powerflow exhausts... they are good. When he does his quarter mile weight reduction helps a lot, take the back seats out, back board with speakers, subs ect... and if he has big mags tell him to get ones he uses only for the track which are lighter. Should be able to shave a bit of his time
